Seacology Benefits from Aveda Institute Fundraising
Seacology recently received a very generous gift from the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill, a cosmetology school in North Carolina. According to Jill Powell, director of the Institute, “We heard about Seacology through one of our students. We share a commonality with them as their mission is to preserve island culture and environments."
Powell went on to explain how the Institute gives to charities, "Our students do not receive monetary tips for services rendered. Instead, each month an organization is chosen to be our 'Tips for a Cause'. This allows our students and staff an opportunity to educate our guests about these organizations and their causes. As a company our mission is to care for the world we live in and give back to society. The Aveda Institute Chapel Hill shares this responsibility and encourages our students to continue these efforts throughout their careers.”
